The last is when an individual thinks about it when he is awake and sees it in a dream when he is asleep.
Dream Interpretation in Islam?
Dream interpretation is Halal.
Dreams have been mentioned in the Quran and Hadis several times, and thus the interpretation of dreams in light of the Quran and Sunnah is considered Halal.
The dreams of people should be interpreted if they align with Islamic teachings. Only those dreams that are in favor of the Quran and Sunnah can be acted upon; otherwise, if a dream contradicts the Sunnah and the Quran, it should not be relied on or acted upon.
In the case of bad dreams, one must seek refuge from Satan, recite Ayat ul Kursi, and keep the dream to himself.
Evidence
Ruya Saadiqah, or true dreams in Islam, hold a special place as they are considered to be a part of prophethood. It is also marked that the dreams were the onset of Revelation.
As per Sahih Al Bukhari Hadis number 6988, Abu Huraira reported that the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him, stated that the true dreams of a believer or a pious person are forty-six parts of the Prophethood. Added to this, truthful dreams often come to those who are pious and truthful in speech.
