The Sign Of Tawheed For The Wise Is To Meditate On The Creation Of Allaah (عزَّ وجل)

 Says Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala):

Certainly in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the changing  of the  night and the day; of course it is Aayaat (signs, considerations) for the intelligent.

Those who remember Allaah by standing and sitting and lying on their sides and contemplating the creation of the heavens and the earth (saying): " Our Lord  , You did not create this in vain, Glory be to You and We will protect you from the punishment of the Fire."  [Al-'Imraan: 190-191]

These two glorious verses are verses that show the sign of Tawheed for people who meditate on the creation of Allaah ('Azza wa Jalla) who express their faith by their deeds of remembering their Rabb with supplication and adkhaar whenever and wherever they are.

And verily the one who contemplates the creation of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala), is the one who is meant to be intelligent. And they dwell and consider the creation of the heavens according to the greatness of its length, and the breadth of the whole earth, and all that is in it; including various stars orbiting the sky, oceans, mountains, valleys, springs, rivers, deserts, trees, plants, flowers of various colors and fragrances, fruits of all kinds and colors and flavors that all come from water (rain) ) just the same species, all kinds of celestial, terrestrial and marine animals, minerals, and many other innumerable. The intelligent think not only about the creation of their body but also about the cause and purpose of their creation as well as the creation of the universe.

On top of that you do not think about changes in the order of the heavens and the earth and time as well; For example, the days of winter are short and the days of summer are long, turning day, night and dawn, all of which are by the command and power of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa) the All-Wise and that is why He says:

… Of course it is Aayaat (signs, considerations) for the intelligent.

The intended ones are Believers who are very thoughtful about the truth of the creation of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa) and not the unbelievers who are like blind people who have no idea of the creation of their Rabb who live and benefit from it. Creation which is seen everywhere, day and night, and even though they know that it is the creation of Allaah ('Azza wa Jalla) Who is the Almighty and Omnipotent Creator, but they deny the truth, but they ignore it. And Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa) mentions their disregard in His statements:

And how many verses (signs, signs) in the heavens and the earth do they pass through while they ignore them.

And most of them do not believe in Allaah unless they are polytheists.   [Yuwsuf: 105-106]

Then Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa) explained to the devout Believers, that they remember their Rabb at all times, wherever they are and whatever they are and witness to His Glory and His Power and His Mercy. Then they glorify their Rabb and realize by acknowledging that surely Allaah ('Azza wa Jalla) did not create them all for no reason but He created them with justice in order to reward the evildoers with due punishment and to reward those who do good deeds they deserve. Then they end up asking their Rabb to save them from the punishment of the fire:

Those who remember Allaah by standing and sitting and lying on their sides and contemplating the creation of the heavens and the earth (saying): " Our Lord  , You did not create this in vain, Glory be to You and We will protect you from the punishment of the Fire."  [Al-'Imraan: 191]

The condition of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was when the verses were revealed. These are as described in the hadith:

Narrated kThe Mother of the Believers 'Aishah (Radhwiya Allaahu' anhaa) was asked about the strange thing she witnessed from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He cried first and then said: "All his things were strange. One night he came close to me until his skin touched my skin and he said, ((Do you not let me worship my Rabb?)) I said:" O Messenger of Allaah, Allaah, surely I love your closeness to me (be close to me), and I also love your love, that I want you not to be away from me, and I love what pleases you ". He said ('Aishah): Then he stood up and prayed and wept until his beard was wet, then he bowed down and wept until he made the earth wet. Then he lay down on the right side until Bilaal came to inform him of the Dawn of Dawn, and asked him: O Messenger of Allaah! What is the matter with you that Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa) has already blotted out your previous sins and The coming of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

Certainly in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the changing  of the  night and the day; of course it is Aayaat (signs, considerations) for the intelligent.

Those who remember Allaah by standing and sitting and lying on their sides and contemplating the creation of the heavens and the earth (saying): " Our Lord  , You did not create this in vain, Glory be to You and We will protect you from the punishment of the Fire."

" Our Lord  , verily Thou hast brought him into the Fire, verily Thou hast humiliated him. And the oppressors have no one to rescue them. ”

" Our Rabb  , surely we have heard the caller call in faith that 'believe in  your Rabb  ' then we will believe. Our Lord, Forgive us our sins and Forgive us our sins and Kill us with the Believers. ”

“ Our Lord  and Give Us What You have promised us through Your Messenger, and do not reward us on the Day of Resurrection; surely You do not go against the appointment. ”

So  their Lord  replied: "Surely I do not lose" the deeds of any of you, whether male or female, among you. So those who fled and were driven out of their homes and persecuted in My way, fought and were killed; surely I will blot out their transgressions and surely I will  bring them into the Jannahat  beneath which rivers flow, it is a reward from Allaah. And with Allaah there is a wonderful reward. ”

Do not be completely deceived by the wandering of those who disbelieve in the land.

It is a small comfort, then their abode is Hell. And it is a very bad place to rest.

But those who fear  their Rabb  will find  Jannahat  beneath which rivers flow, they are abiding therein, a reception from Allaah. And what is with Allaah is the best for the obedient.

And among the  Ahlil-Kitaabi are those who believe in Allaah and that which has been revealed to you, and that which has been revealed to  them, they submit to Allaah and do not alter the verses of Allaah for a small price. They will receive their reward from their Rabb. Surely Allaah is swift in reckoning.

O you who believe! Be patient and pray patiently and remain steadfast and fear Allaah so that you may succeed. [Aal-'Imraan: 190-200]

Then he said: ((Alas, he who reads them but does not reflect on them))

When you wake up at night for prayer, it is Sunnah to recite these verses as it was  the custom of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) to recite these verses when he wakes up at night to pray.  And we must follow this glorious Sunnah.

Dear Muslims, those are the verses that ended our beloved Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) who could not sleep that night and recited them while crying. It is indeed a glorious verse that excites the body and shocks the hearts of the intelligent. So let us ask ourselves:

Will we be among those who remember Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa) whenever and wherever we are?

Will we consider the Power of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa) to create all things in the world and in the creation of our souls as well as to contemplate His Kingdom and Glory? If we meditate when we read or hear these verses then we  too will cry out in fear of Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aalaa), but perhaps our hearts have become hard, so we should ask Allaah ('Azza wa Jalla) to give us the Light of the Qur'aan in our hearts. fill us with faith and fear of our Rabb. Aamiyn.

Allaahumma inniy a'uwdhu bika min-qalbin-laa yakh-sha'u, wamin du'aain-laa yasma'u, wamin nafsin-laa tashba'u, wamin ilmin-laa yanfa'u, a'uwdhu bika min haaulail- arba'i

O Allaah, verily I seek refuge in a humble heart and an unheard of supplication and an insatiable soul and an unhelpful knowledge, I seek refuge in Thee against these four.

[Abu Daawuwd, At-Tirmidhi,  Sahih An-Nasaaiy  Sahih Al-Jami '  (1297)]
